Perio Heal – perio chip

PSP Perio Heal™ is a biodegradable periodontal insert containing Metronidazole, designed for placement into periodontal pockets as an adjunct to standard dental procedures.

The device provides localized antibacterial support at the site of placement and helps maintain a favorable environment for healing following periodontal therapy.

The insert remains in the pocket and gradually disintegrates over time.
It is intended for local action only and does not produce systemic effects.

🔬 MODE OF ACTION

The device acts by localized presence within the periodontal pocket, supporting bacterial control and healing conditions.
The action is confined to the site of application with no systemic effect.

📌 Indications / Ideal Use Cases:

• Chronic periodontitis
• Deep periodontal pockets (>4 mm)
• Adjunct to scaling & root planing
• Localized periodontal infections
• Maintenance therapy in periodontal patients

⚙️ How to Use:

1. Perform scaling and root planing of the affected site.
2. Isolate and gently dry the periodontal pocket.
3. Insert the Perio Heal™ chip into the pocket using tweezers or an applicator.
4. Ensure the chip is properly positioned within the pocket.
5. No removal required – the chip biodegrades over time.
6. Advise patient to avoid disturbing the area for several hours.

🧪 Composition:

• Metronidazole (active antimicrobial agent)
• Biodegradable polymer matrix .

📦 Presentation:

• 2 Chip Pack (for trial / small procedures)
• 10 Chip Pack (for clinical use / multiple patients)

Each chip is individually packed for sterility and ease of handling.
